Overview

Compliance Manager - Payments role at Elavon Europe.

As a Compliance Manager – Payments, you will help ensure regulatory compliance across payment services, provide advisory support to business lines, and contribute to the development and maintenance of internal policies. You will collaborate with internal teams and external regulators to address risks and align with frameworks such as PSD2, SEPA, CPC and Consumer Duty. The manager also supports training and awareness initiatives to help business partners understand their obligations.

Key accountabilities
  • Partner with the assigned Line of Business and other Risk/Compliance/Audit professionals to create, implement, maintain, review, or oversee an effective risk management framework.
  • Participate in projects and activities that ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Identify gaps and inform solutions that minimize losses from inadequate processes, systems, or human errors.
  • Identify, respond to, and/or escalate risks as appropriate. Serve as a functional liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.
Skills & experience required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Typically more than six years of applicable experience
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends affecting the assigned line of business
  • Deep understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and project management skills
  • Effective presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; ability to navigate software packages, databases, and presentations
  • Applicable professional certifications
Additional information
  • The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule with in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
