Cyber Cert Labs is a European start-up based in Dublin, seeking a skilled and self-motivated Software Engineer (Individual Contributor) to join our expanding team. We develop SaaS software for digital product manufacturers, enabling them to embed cybersecurity into their development lifecycle. Our solutions also support businesses that purchase digital products, ensuring secure operation as defined by the manufacturer.

EU Cyber Regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act, NIS2, and DORA require that the digital supply chain is resilient against cyber threats and attacks to ensure a safe digital Europe. These regulations ensure security is embedded across the entire digital supply chain. Our AI software helps regulated participants meet their cyber regulatory obligations and reduces their exposure to cyber-attacks.

The company recently launched a two-year EU co-funded Digital Europe Program project called CRA-AI (Cyber Resilience Act – Artificial Intelligence), which aims to create a highly automated AI-based software platform to support SMEs and micro-enterprises with product security and compliance with the Cyber Resilience Act.

Location: Ireland preferred or Romania

Experience Level: 5–7 years in a similar role

Type: Full-time, 3 days in office / 2 remote, some travel required

Salary Range: €65,000

Holidays: 21 days, increasing by 2 days in years 2 and 3

Location: Blackrock, Dublin

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Software Engineer (Individual Contributor) to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate has extensive expertise in Python, with a proactive interest in leveraging AI tools and frameworks. You will work on complex, interactive applications that integrate advanced technologies including LLMs and data visualizations. This hands-on role involves the full product development lifecycle, from design to deployment.

What You'll Work On:

  • Build and evolve backend APIs and services using Python 3 and FastAPI
  • Build workflows with Temporal.io to realize business processes
  • Integrate LLMs and other AI tools directly into product functionality
  • Use Docker for containerized development and deployment
  • Participate fully in the entire product development lifecycle—design, build, test, ship, and support

Our Stack:

  • Backend: Python 3, FastAPI, Temporal.io, OTEL, and others
  • AI Integration: LLM APIs, Vector and Graph databases
  • Tooling: JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, Docker, CI/CD pipelines

You Might Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Have 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role
  • Are confident working with Python 3 and FastAPI
  • Have some knowledge and interest in cybersecurity, especially in the European context
  • Have experience working in a SaaS environment (a plus)
  • Use or are excited to explore tools like GitLab Copilot, Cursor, or RooCode
  • Enjoy working autonomously within a small, focused team
  • Want to have a direct impact and gain broad exposure to product and technical decisions
  • Understand the start-up journey and are eager to be part of an exciting journey
