Overview:

Our client, a leading confectionery company based in Greater Dublin, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician. This role involves delivering high-quality engineering services to production, ensuring maintenance works efficiently, effectively, and safely in line with the maintenance strategy.

Company:

Our client is a renowned confectionery company committed to excellence and innovation in their field.

Duties:
  1. Perform PM routines and regular maintenance.
  2. Execute the preventive maintenance and condition-based program.
  3. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
  4. Perform electro-mechanical repairs on high-speed, PLC-controlled plant, handling, and packaging equipment, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  5. Troubleshoot using PLC programs.
  6. Monitor line and machine performance closely, intervening as soon as any deterioration occurs.
  7. Provide technical support for plant facilities and services, including compressed air, refrigeration, and steam.
  8. Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment installations and modifications.
  9. Provide engineering support, enter data, update equipment records, produce performance reports, and participate in continuous improvement follow-up.
  10. Update the maintenance management system (CMMS), recording all changes, store transactions, and work carried out.
  11. Complete planned work, daily shift input of all works onto CMMS, parts booked out of stores, and control of breakdowns.
  12. Deliver high-quality engineering services to production, ensuring efficient, effective, and safe maintenance.
Criteria:
  1. Suitable trade qualification.
  2. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  3. Good reporting skills.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  5. Ability to lead on engineering issues and work independently or as part of a team.
  6. Flexibility in respect of shift changes and participation in the maintenance procedure as required.
  7. Electrical engineering experience and/or qualifications.
  8. Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality, Health, and Safety.
  9. Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance.
  10. Experience in fault finding and problem solving.
  11. Comprehensive knowledge of high-speed mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation, and PLC control systems.
