What you will do:

Under supervision and using established standards, responsible for hardware designs and software programming for HVAC control systems to meet project requirements. Provides detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, Johnson Controls field installation team, and subcontractors. Responds to basic warranty calls.

How you will do it:

  • Select hardware designs from the standard design library for flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of materials, network layouts, and electrical schematics as required.
  • Perform software programming based on established standards.
  • Coordinate the creation of drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
  • Select, order, and track the delivery of materials for projects. Coordinate factory-mounting processes to meet schedules.
  • Assist in loading and commissioning system and network controllers. Validate system functionality and troubleshoot with subcontractors and trades to ensure proper operation.
  • Gather field changes, create as-built drawings and software, and prepare documentation/manuals for system operation.
  • Keep management and stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
  • Assist in site-specific training for owners/operators.
  • Complete necessary paperwork: timesheets, expense reports, on-site documentation.
  • Adhere to safety standards, prioritizing employee and subcontractor safety.

What we look for:

Required

  • Minimum three years of experience installing and/or commissioning Johnson Controls Metasys systems, including system-level controllers, and proficiency with Metasys Tools: RAC schedule, CCT, SCT, Visio.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Technical aptitude.
  • Advanced computer skills, especially drafting tools.

Preferred

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or 5+ years HVAC experience.
  • Experience with installing/commissioning control systems or designing/evaluating building control systems.
