Dromoland Castle Resort, one of Ireland's most prestigious five-star hotels, is recruiting for a Night Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for hotel and guest security, reception duties as well as maintaining the agreed standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel.

The role of Night Porter involves:

  1. Providing a smooth and efficient night service for all guests.
  2. Patrolling and securing hallways, common areas, entrances, and other locations on the grounds or in the hotel.
  3. Having a full understanding of the hotel fire procedures and fire assembly points, ensuring the safety of all guests at all times.
  4. Ensuring that key areas of the hotel are manned and are operating smoothly throughout the duration of the shift.
  5. Offering bar service to clients.
  6. Dealing with queries, complaints, or problems that may arise.
  7. Having prior experience covering both front desk reception and bars at nighttime.
  8. Maintaining a high awareness of property and security and experience with safety procedures.

Requirements:

  1. 1+ years experience as a night porter or in a similar role.
  2. High level of verbal and written English.
  3. Flexibility with working nights, which will include both weekdays and weekends.
  4. The ability to work on their own initiative as well as being capable of working as part of a team.
  5. A warm, friendly, and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests.
