Location Overview:

Our Central Park office in Leopardstown boasts modern facilities based in Dublin's premium business park. With an onsite gym and staff restaurant, all your daily needs are conveniently catered for. Travel options include the LUAS network and the Central Park shuttle service between Dublin City Centre and Central Park.

Role Description:

This role will be responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. To ensure solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. We require someone who has a strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry and has extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.

Responsibilities:

  1. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
  2. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
  3. Develop several complex business solutions using Python and SQL.
  4. Work in a distributed team in an agile environment to design, code and test business solutions.
  5. Develop key relationships with Global Risk Analytics quants team members.
  6. Develop wider working relationship across the board in CCRT department.

What we are looking for:

  1. Experience with DevOps tools (example ansible, bitbucket, Jenkins etc).
  2. Good understanding of testing concepts.
  3. Experience in various database platforms such as relational and NoSQL databases.
  4. Experience working within software development.
  5. Technical Coding skills (preferably python but other languages are acceptable).
  6. Experience with distributed systems.
  7. Financial experience (understanding Value at Risk models).

Skills that will help:

  1. Prior experience working in a highly regulated environment such as within the banking and finance sector.
  2. Good understanding of Linux/Windows based systems.
  3. Knowledge of Financial Markets and Products.
