East Cork Life Sciences - General OperatorsWe are currently recruiting for General Operators on an 11-month Fixed Term Contract. These roles operate on a 2/3/4 shift cycle and offer a pay rate of €14.72 per hour plus shift allowances. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Assembler Machine Operator will be involved in the operation of the Assembly Device Departments.
Responsibilities:- Manufacture Active Ingredients, Intermediates, and other products according to batch sheet specifications, complying with GMP and company Health & Safety standards.
- Transport materials throughout the plant and to/from the warehouse.
- Take test samples during production.
- Maintain site cleanliness, including housekeeping, plant cleaning, and cleaning validation.
- Complete general housekeeping duties such as scale calibration, HSE checks, GMP checks, and other tasks as required.
- Assist in operating the Waste Treatment plant as needed.
- Follow all production procedures strictly.
- Report equipment, utility, or process issues, and suggest improvements.
- Report safety and environmental incidents, promoting a safety-conscious culture.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Protect plant, equipment, and PPE from damage or misuse.
- Be flexible in completing tasks in a pressurized environment.
- Work shift patterns and occasional overtime as required.
- Participate in Emergency Procedures training.
- Essential: Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
- Desirable: Third-level science or manufacturing qualification.
- Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyze complex data.
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions accurately.
