The Senior Software Engineer will be joining our customer's growing team that works alongside near-shore teams to deliver best-in-breed software systems. You will be steering technical execution on near-shore teams, helping them grow and providing a common set of practices that will drive the products forward. You'll be building upon a Micro-Services Architecture, targeting .Net Core 9, hosted on a Kubernetes architecture and using CQRS and with a solid emphasis on full CI/CD where automated testing is a critical component. You'll be joining a group of peers that believe code needs to be agile, needs to constantly shift and follow the surrounding technical stack, that embraces experimentation and celebrates learning from failures.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of software development experience
• EntityFramework Core in a Micro-Services and bounded scope context
• Experience in Kubernetes, ideally in a cloud context
• Working in an agile software development environment (sprints & working through product backlogs)
• Investigate, reproduce, and fix software defects reported by customers or monitoring systems
• Debug .NET Core APIs and Vue.js frontend issues across environments
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring issues
• Validate fixes with automated and manual regression testing before production release

2. Patch Management

• Apply patches for .NET Core runtime, NuGet packages, npm dependencies, and third-party libraries
• Ensure security vulnerabilities (CVEs) are addressed in a timely manner
• Test compatibility of patches with existing codebase and Kubernetes environment
• Coordinate with SREs/DevOps for smooth rollout of patched builds

3. Production Support & Stability

• Monitor production error logs, metrics, and customer reports to identify stability issues
• Provide on-call support during operational hours (aligned with 7-day/12-hour usage)
• Work with Site Reliability Engineers to tackle incidents affecting availability or performance
• Maintain service health and minimize downtime for 80+ customers

4. Code Quality & Technical Debt Management

• Refactor legacy or fragile code to improve maintainability without changing functionality
• Ensure bug fixes and patches meet coding standards and best practices
• Write unit and integration tests for bug fixes to improve long-term stability
• Document fixes, workarounds, and patch procedures for future reference

5. Environment & Dependency Maintenance

• Keep .NET Core and Vue.js dependencies up to date while ensuring compatibility
• Monitor Kubernetes-deployed services for issues caused by outdated runtime or library versions
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy hotfixes, rollbacks, or updates
• Maintain Docker images and Helm charts for patched application components

6. Customer-Facing Support (Indirect)

• Work with Customer Support teams to triage and address bug reports
• Provide technical analysis and status updates on bug/patch progress
• Ensure customer issues are addressed within defined SLAs
• Collaborate with QA engineers on bug reproduction and validation
• Partner with SREs to improve monitoring and alerting for faster bug detection
• Suggest improvements to reduce repetitive bugs and improve system endurance
• Participate in post-incident reviews to harden the system against future failures
