Job Summary

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the primary function of the Financial Accountant is to assume responsibility for the preparation and presentation of reconciled financial statements within the Finance Department and direct daily activities in accordance with Company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation with Finance team of Month end close, Journal entries and Forecast financial statements
  2. Responsible for ensuring full reconciliation of month end balance sheet in accordance to strict reporting deadlines
  3. Working closely with GBS (Shared Service Centre) on the management of the plant accounts
  4. Preparation of statutory financial statements, Revenue returns and other external reporting
  5. Liaison with internal and external auditors
  6. Development of and adherence to Corporate best practice policies and procedures supporting compliance to Sarbanes Oxley initiatives
  7. Initiate and implement process improvement activities to meet business objectives
  8. Detailed plant performance analysis and measurement against KPI's
  9. Work closely with Finance team to complete activities of the accounting department

Qualifications / Experience

  1. Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or Business(Hons) equivalent
  2. 3 year's plus, post qualification experience
  3. Suit a person wanting to move from practice into industry or a person currently working in industry, looking to move to a US Global publicly quoted Manufacturing company
  4. Strong financial accounting and costing experience
  5. Experience of implementing/testing internal controls
  6. Excellent PC skills– Accounting packages(SAP preferred), Microsoft Office
  7. Excellent analytical skills
  8. Excellent organizational skills, working to tight reporting deadlines
  9. Proactive, self-starter and results/goals orientated
  10. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
