Overview

Kilsaran Precast is a high-performance, bespoke business that offers a full-service solution from building design and manufacture through to installation. The fully automated state-of-the-art plants are located in Kildare and Galway and are BIM oriented.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. This role requires a strong attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures.
  • Material selection: Select and procure appropriate materials for each project, considering factors such as cost, durability, and aesthetics.
  • Measurement and layout: Accurately measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using rulers, squares, or other measuring instruments.
  • Tool operation: Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, chisels, drills, and sanders, to complete projects.
  • Problem-solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction or installation, adapting plans as necessary.
  • Safety compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety protocols.
Skills Required
  • Relevant certification in carpentry.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong carpentry skills and knowledge of woodworking techniques.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
