Overview

Lead Process Engineer to provide design leadership and engineering expertise for Life Science projects. Hybrid role based in Dublin or Cork.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the process design and engineering activities for large-scale life science projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage multidisciplinary process design teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and quality oversight throughout project lifecycles.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand project requirements, define scope, and deliver tailored process solutions.
  • Oversee the development of process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment specifications, and process control strategies.
  • Ensure integration of process systems with facility design, utilities, and automation.
  • Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling, contributing to successful project delivery.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical leadership during construction, commissioning, and qualification phases.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Sufficient years of experience in chemical or process engineering, with a strong focus on facility and plant design within the life sciences sector.
  • Proven track record of leading process design teams and delivering complex engineering projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP regulations, cleanroom design, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of process equipment, utilities, and automation systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Full right to work in Ireland is essential.
