Using this knowledge of data and the needs for the digital transformation of processes at the site, the data architect will develop a vision and a roadmap to drive this transformation. This role requires skills such as data modelling and an understanding of cloud architecture principles to determine the best architecture and solutions to meet business needs. The data architect also needs to ensure there are processes in place and being followed to ensure data security, data governance and data standards are followed.

The Role

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the existing business processes. Use that knowledge and customer-centric approach to develop and implement an architecture and solutions to improve and support the business processes.
  • Develop a data strategy and roadmap working with business partners (including Process Engineers, Operations, Quality, and TS/MS) to identify digital transformation needs that will drive value.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts and engineers to drive the implementation of this roadmap.
  • Lead the data analytics team in the delivery of an architecture that continues to evolve and embrace the advantages of new technologies as they become available.

The Person
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field
  • 7 plus years of experience in architecture design and implementation.
  • 5 plus years of experience in leading data projects and teams to deliver value.
  • Certifications: Azure or AWS certification is desirable.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry processes and familiarity with GMP regulations would be an advantage.
