As a remote backend engineer, you'll work closely with our mobile and web application developers to bring our 200M+ reviews to millions of users.

What you'll do:

  1. Build platforms to increase the development velocity of new product features.
  2. Iterate quickly using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment principles.
  3. Articulate a technical vision and execute it.
  4. Give back by mentoring other engineers and sharing the skills you learn.
  5. Collaborate with team members and engineers across the company to design elegant systems.

What it takes to succeed:

  1. Demonstrated industry experience.
  2. Great understanding of and interest in well-designed APIs.
  3. Relevant experience in at least one server-side programming language (Java, Python, Scala).
  4. You're excited about the challenges of scalability, reliability, and performance.
  5. Willing to delve into infrastructure to unlock more performant solutions.
