Job Description:

The Operational Resilience Specialist role is a key position within the Operational Resilience team, part of the Group Resilience function. The role involves supporting scenario testing, MI reporting, and stakeholder engagement to ensure compliance with Operational Resilience regulations, enabling AIB to identify, prepare for, respond, adapt, and recover from operational disruptions. The role also supports Business Continuity activities within Group Resilience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, planning, and executing severe but plausible scenario tests to assess response capabilities.
  • Managing a Scenario Test Library aligned with industry best practices.
  • Improving testing processes through lessons learned and process enhancements.
  • Analyzing Operational Resilience data to identify trends and inform decisions.
  • Reporting resilience metrics to stakeholders and management.
  • Supporting the review and maintenance of services and operational resilience tools.
  • Engaging with senior leaders to embed resilience practices across the organization.
  • Staying updated with industry trends and regulations to ensure best practices.
  • Contributing to a culture of Business Continuity and resilience across AIB.

Candidate requirements include:

  • Experience in Operational Resilience, Risk Management, Business Continuity, or related fields within banking, with strong understanding of associated risks.
  • Solution-oriented with excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
  • Motivated, proactive, with strong communication skills, including documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and challenge existing practices constructively.
