Job Description:

Overview: PM Group is recruiting an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support data centre projects from conception to closeout. The role involves leading project stages from concept to detailed design, mentoring team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

About PM Group: An employee-owned, international project delivery firm with over 3,500 employees, specializing in pharma, medtech, food, and mission-critical sectors, with offices across Europe, Asia, and the US.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the electrical services engineering team for data center design projects.
  2. Develop and implement standards and guidelines for electrical systems.
  3. Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers.
  4. Engage with clients to understand requirements and provide solutions.
  5. Build client relationships through effective communication.
  6. Participate in meetings with clients and PM Group.
  7. Analyze engineering problems and propose solutions.
  8. Design electrical distribution systems, including power, UPS, and distribution networks.
  9. Review work for accuracy and quality.
  10. Support budget proposals.
  11. Manage electrical packages for bid, approval, and construction.
  12. Conduct site visits to monitor installations.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • 10+ years in industrial engineering design, mainly in data centres, pharma, and medical devices.
  • Chartered or working towards it.
  • Experience in HV, MV, LV power distribution, generators, UPS, lighting, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, earthing, hazardous areas, and control systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and industry practices.
  • Ability to perform short circuit, load flow, and discrimination studies using software like Amtech, Caneco, SKM.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Professional and ethical approach to safety, quality, and environment.
