What is the opportunity?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Sourcing Manager to contribute to the long-term sourcing strategy of the Bank through developing sourcing strategies that bring value and drive procurement efficiency.

This role will be critical in managing key supplier relationships and leading large-scale supplier negotiations for the bank.

In this role, you will:
  • Develop and implement long-term sourcing strategies aligned with the bank's objectives to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to inform strategic decisions.
  • Manage supplier contracts to ensure strategic alignment and cost efficiency.
  • Support the evaluation and selection of potential suppliers meeting quality and sustainability standards.
  • Analyze spend data to identify cost savings and add value.
  • Develop strategies to maximize value and reduce costs, such as supplier consolidation and contract renegotiation.
  • Support the development of category sourcing strategies for areas like Banking Operations, Infrastructure, and HR.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage key supplier contracts.
  • Identify and assess supply chain risks, developing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure sourcing activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
What will make you stand out?

The ideal candidate will have procurement or supply chain management experience, preferably within financial services, managing specific spend categories such as IT or facilities, and developing category-specific sourcing strategies.

Experience with any of the following is advantageous but not necessary:

  • Professional qualification in Procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, IIPMM)
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
Essential Skills & Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Experience managing specific spend categories and developing targeted sourcing strategies.

Group Procurement & Partner Management is a Bank of Ireland Group-wide function providing Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Partner Relationship Management, Supplier Risk Management & Governance, and Procurement Services & Transformation support to all divisions and business units. It is part of Group Business Efficiency.

This role can be performed remotely within the Republic of Ireland, with the primary office based in Dublin, where some travel will be required for in-person collaboration. Travel frequency will be agreed upon with the manager.
