A newly created role for a Commercial Accountant has been assigned to recruit on behalf of highly recognised business based in the heart of Cork.
As the Commercial Accountant you will be supporting the Financial Controller to maintain month end accounts and training junior accountants. This role is a fantastic opportunity to provide strategic financial insights, partner with key stakeholders, and help drive informed business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities of the Commercial Accountant
- Production of monthly Management Accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ownership of the annual budget process, developing the input tools for the business.
- Analysing and presenting key KPI figures to senior management and wider management teams.
- Continuously review and improve financial processes and controls.
- Liaising with departments and partnering across the business, to support with budget management and financial planning.
Required skills and experience of the Commercial Accountant
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in leadership and staff management of at least one person
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
- High level of interpersonal and influencing skills to develop sustainable and beneficial relationships with stakeholders
