The Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivatedFinancial Controllerto join our leadership team. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the hotel, managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and serving as a key strategic partner to the General Manager and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full finance function: prepare, review and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in alignment with the hotel's strategic goals.
  • Analyze financial performance; identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial, tax & legal regulations and hotel policies.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, cash flow, and working capital management.
  • Coordinate audit processes (internal & external), prepare schedules and support auditors as required.
  • Develop, document and maintain financial & operational controls, policies, procedures.
  • Work closely with departmental heads (Rooms, F&B, Events, Spa etc.) to support budgeting, cost control, inventory & procurement.
  • Provide financial insights and reporting to senior management to aid strategic decision making.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent) with proven experience in a similar role.
  • Significant experience in the hospitality sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and financial modelling / forecasting experience.
  • Excellent understanding of Irish tax, regulatory & reporting frameworks.
  • Strong leadership skills: able to manage, mentor and develop the finance team.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, with high levels of integrity and reliability.
  • Proficiency in financial software & systems
  • Strong communication skills; able to present financial information clearly.
