Overview

Role: Principal Research Scientist at IC Resources. A global research organisation is seeking a Senior Research Lead to shape the future of AI and machine learning. The Role

You will drive advanced research in AI, exploring areas such as machine learning, data-driven modelling, and large-scale systems. While recommender systems may form part of your focus, the role is positioned more broadly across applied AI, ensuring flexibility and scope to influence multiple directions of innovation.

Key Focus Areas
  • Lead pioneering research into AI and machine learning method
  • Develop algorithms and models that address complex, real-world challenges
  • Oversee large-scale data usage, from acquisition to application
  • Publish in top-tier journals and conferences, contributing to the organisation's IP portfolio
  • Mentor and support junior researchers, driving technical excellence
  • Deliver prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and applied solutions that demonstrate impact.
  • Collaborate with global research institutions and industry stakeholders
About You
  • Extensive expertise in machine learning and applied AI, with experience in areas such as recommender systems, optimisation, or large-scale modelling
  • Strong programming capability (Python, R, C, C++)
  • PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline
  • Track record of publishing in leading journals and conferences
  • Proven ability to lead projects from concept through to real-world delivery
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
