Role Overview

European Technology is evolving to deliver market-leading speed, agility, cost efficiency and risk mitigation to enable the delivery of strategies across European businesses. A new strategy and enabling organisation is being created, which includes providing overarching European Architecture governance. Reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, the Architecture Governance Manager will enhance and support the Enterprise Architecture practices across all European businesses.

What you will help us to achieve
  • Embed European Architecture Governance into European Technology ways of working
  • Support the logistics of the new Architecture communities of practice and the rollout of new architecture tooling
  • Introduce a reporting and insights capability to support conversations on OKRs, technical debt, risk management, and related areas
  • Coordinate and manage the EA governance process end to end, working across European Lines of Business to ensure value and high-quality architecture outcomes
What you will need to be successful in the role
  • This is a growth role; candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds are welcome. A partial skills match will be considered.
  • A modest amount of technical understanding is beneficial, but strong technical/architecture background is not required. On-the-job guidance will be provided; the role targets someone seeking a fresh challenge to help shape and coordinate a new function.
  • Self-organising and structured, with a passion for defining and rolling out best practices
  • Highly collaborative with motivation to build cross-team partnerships
  • Organised and effective in coordinating large groups across functions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a team within formal project management methodologies
  • Direct experience with financial management issues, preparing budgets and forecasts
  • Experienced Change Agent capable of supporting strategic change and innovation cycles
