Our client,

a multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy, is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team in Sligo.

The successful candidate will work across a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, energy, and pharmaceutical sectors. The Engineer will be responsible for the design and management of various projects, in conjunction with the wider team, and will provide guidance to junior staff members.

Requirements:

  • Over 6 years of post-graduate experience in the design and management of structural and civil engineering projects
  • Chartered status or actively progressing towards Chartered status
  • Comprehensive experience working independently on structural, civil, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects, including both design and construction supervision
  • Hands-on experience leading, managing, and delivering structural and civil engineering projects across multiple sectors
  • Developing leadership skills, with a focus on business development, client relationship management, technical leadership, team coordination, and motivation
  • High level of technical expertise in all engineering-related fields
  • Strong grasp of Eurocodes, steel, and concrete design, with proficiency in SCIA or similar structural analysis software
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
  • Capability to manage projects of various sizes for diverse client types
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong track record of meeting tight deadlines
  • Experience in design-build projects is advantageous
