Overview

Software Development Engineer - Product Dev Tools role at Latinx in AI (LXAI).

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to scoping, planning, architecture, design, implementation, testing and delivery of key product features.
  • Collaborate with peers, engineering managers and senior/principal engineers on technical designs and implementation of new features.
  • Participate in release planning by understanding feature details (design, effort, risk, priority, size).
  • Build software that empowers engineering teams to rapidly develop, test and deliver high quality products.
  • Develop and improve developer tooling to support a large development community and continuous delivery pipelines.
About YouBasic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of object-oriented and/or functional design and programming (Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Scala, etc.).
  • Experience with automation, CI/CD or web testing software.
  • Proficient with HTTP, REST, SOAP, XML, JSON and other web frameworks (e.g. React, Angular).
  • Ability to deliver on time in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Ability to communicate design ideas using UML or technical presentations.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field.
Other Qualifications
  • Test-focused with good TDD/Unit & System Testing, debugging and profiling skills.
  • Experience with IDEs, build & CI/CD tools (e.g. IntelliJ, Git, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, TeamCity, Artifactory).
  • Proficient with AWS/Cloud technologies (EC2, ECS, S3, SQS, Lambda) and Kubernetes/Docker.
  • Good code review skills and ability to provide and act on constructive feedback.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
