PART-TIME PRESCHOOL EDUCATOR VACANCY

We are looking for an enthusiastic preschool educator with a positive attitude to work with children, families and colleagues in our after-school service (SAC) in Watergrasshill Community Hall. The work would start in September 2024.

Duties:

  1. Support the deputy manager in ensuring compliance with all relevant Early Years regulations and agencies.
  2. Working in partnership with the parents.
  3. Planning and implementing activities that the children in the ECCE program will enjoy.
  4. Working daily in the service directly with the children.
  5. In collaboration with colleagues, ensure that equipment and the facility are clean, well-maintained and safe at all times.

Requirements:

  1. Must have a minimum QQL level 5 qualification in Early Years Education studies.
  2. Minimum of one year's experience working with children and families.
  3. Excellent work ethic and commitment.
  4. Excellent communication skills.

Job specification:

  1. Hours of work: 9.30 am to 12.30 pm (15 hours per week). Any work done beyond the normal working hours is paid accordingly (e.g. staff meetings).
  2. Service is open from Mondays to Fridays.
  3. Induction day is provided.
  4. Salary will follow the current ERO legislation.
  5. Support and advice are offered by the manager.
  6. 38-week work contract.
