We are seeking a skilled Technical Product Owner (Data focused) to drive a scrum team and support the architect and data engineering lead in analyzing new data sources for the team.

We have recently launched a Fraud Detection and Investigation platform and are now in the process of onboarding a number of new clients. A substantial part of this process is defining the data needed to address their fraud needs on the platform, working with technical & business partners to understand and acquire this data and build out a roadmap to onboard these clients.

The platform is also moving into both the machine learning and LLM space to bring its capabilities to the next level.

As a Technical Product Owner, you will play an instrumental role as a liaison between our strategic business and technology teams. The Technical Product Owner will meet regularly with project teams to serve as a key resource on complex or critical issues, develop innovative approaches, and serve as a lead facilitator. In program/project teams, you will work to or help lead collective groups identify requirements, analyze and document solution options that satisfy those requirements, and ultimately gain consensus on a strategic commercial product roadmap to be implemented. The Technical Product Owner will track the product through detailed design, development, testing and implementation to ensure the successful deployment of the solution and roadmap.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Extensive experience in business analysis, systems analysis, data analysis, software design, or a combination of roles within the SDLC lifecycle
  • Familiarity with various data technologies - Databricks, Snowflake
  • Familiarity with a variety of data transfer approaches and a basic understanding of the advantages of each - message queues, APIs, Unity Catalog
  • Data literate - able to write SQL queries and perform advanced data analysis
  • Experience leading scrum teams in a product owner capacity
  • Assets – Healthcare industry experience
  • Previously involvement in development and deployment of a consumer or commercial products
  • Experience working with data scientists and machine learning teams and creation of datasets for model training
  • Exposure to high-profile projects with multiple system integrations
  • Experience with training LLMs on an internal dataset
