Quality Engineer

McHale are looking to recruit a Graduate Quality Engineer to join our Quality team in our production area. This is a full-time permanent position based at our Head Office in Ballinrobe. The ideal candidate will be be eager to learn and has the ability to work effectively and independently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring that suppliers deliver quality product to our internal customers.
- Ensuring that all rejected parts are controlled effectively to prevent inadvertent use.
- Co-ordinating and Issuing of Supplier Corrective Action's and returns to Vendors. Tracking and tracing on the company's ERP system.
- Reporting of key supplier quality metrics for the department.
- Ensuring all calibration equipment is calibrated, maintained, recorded as per the company's Calibration Register.
- Prompt closure of daily issues and effective management of assigned CAR's, ECO's and customer complaints.
- Support day to day inspections in accordance with component and parts specifications and the ISO9001 standard.
- Control and issue of training matrixes for stores, cutting and welding.
- Conduct continuous improvement projects required by QA.
- Creating and updating of standard operating procedures for selected areas /lines.
- Final QA release of machines at dispatch. Raising Quality Issues when required on production control.
- Any requests deemed necessary by the QA Manager.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- An Engineering qualification is required.
- A minimum of 1-2 years is desirable in one of the following industries: Engineering/ Manufacturing/Agricultural.
- Strong IT skills required.
- Confident and assertive communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
