Overview

Are you an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer with the ability to support the management and execution of projects from conception to closeout?

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team in Dublin. As a Senior Engineer, you will have the opportunity to lead various stages of projects from concept to detailed design within the Data Centre and Pharmaceutical sectors.

Your responsibilities will include leading project stages from concept to detailed design and supporting and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical projects and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Analyze complex engineering problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Support fee and capital budget proposals.
  • Manage electrical packages for bids, approvals, and construction efficiently.
  • Supervise junior electrical engineering staff as needed.
  • Review work for accuracy and quality; conduct peer reviews.
  • Engage with clients, vendors, and project personnel regularly.
  • Participate in client and internal meetings.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor and approve electrical installations.
Qualifications
  • Third-level Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • 7+ years of experience in heavy industrial electrical design, especially in Data Centres or Pharmaceuticals.
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
  • Extensive experience in electrical design services including MV and LV power, generators, UPS, lighting, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, and hazardous areas.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and industry practices.
  • Ability to perform short circuit, load flow, and discrimination studies using software like Caneco or SKM.
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
