As an Estimator with AirconMech , your key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare detailed tenders and cost estimates for diverse projects.
  • Oversee the handover of final estimates to the project management team.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of work practices to identify cost-saving measures.
  • Quantify material, plant, and labour requirements specific to project needs.
  • Analyse and verify subcontractor quotations, checking for inclusions and exclusions.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Issue tender queries, prepare tender reports, and organise pre-project information.
  • Develop and manage project procurement schedules.
  • Collaborate with project managers to monitor costs and assess ongoing project requirements.
Eligibility Criteria/ Qualifications and/or Experience

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following attributes:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in surveying with a main building services contractor.
  • Familiarity with tendering within the HVAC industry or similar sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project pricing and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Capability to work within tight deadlines and budgets.
  • Knowledge of building regulations and legal guidelines is strongly preferred.
  • Analytical mindset with strong negotiation skills and high attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to travel to various sites throughout the country as required
