Social Care Worker – Full-Time | Offaly

Nuvo Healthcare | Residential Services for Separated Children Seeking International Protection

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rates of €18.38 for day shifts and €20.38 for waking night shifts, based on a full-time schedule of 169 hours per month.

Nuvo Healthcare is currently seeking dedicated Social Care Workers to join our client's expanding residential care team in Offaly. This is a unique and meaningful opportunity to be part of a new, purpose-driven service supporting Separated Children Seeking International Protection, aged 11 to 17. As a Social Care Worker, you will play a vital role in helping young people build safe, stable lives by creating a therapeutic, supportive environment focused on relationship-building, positive attachment, and trauma-informed care.

About the Role

You will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide consistent, high-quality care and emotional support to young people in a residential setting. This role is ideal for compassionate, committed individuals looking to make a lasting impact in the lives of vulnerable children and teenagers. This role involves shift work which is a mixture of days and waking nights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and implementation of individual care plans
  • Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
  • Encourage development of life skills, education, and personal growth
  • Use positive behaviour support strategies and maintain consistent boundaries
  • Uphold safeguarding protocols and ensure the welfare of all young people
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records in line with regulatory standards
  • Work collaboratively with team members, families, and external professionals

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care (or equivalent subject to CORU registration)
  • Full, clean Irish driving licence
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland
  • Experience in children's services is an advantage, but not essential
