Job Description:

The School Food Company has been in operation since 2011 and provides healthy lunch options for both Primary and Secondary school students. Our menu is prepared fresh onsite every day.

We are currently recruiting for a part-time catering assistant at Loreto Secondary School, Fermoy, Co. Cork.

This position will commence at the end of August and operates according to the Secondary school calendar.

Our employees are welcomed as part of the school community and are off during break periods: midterms, Christmas, Easter, and summer (unpaid). This role may appeal to individuals with school-going children. We do not offer fixed working days; flexibility in working days is essential. The position is also subject to Garda Vetting.

The part-time Catering Assistant role involves approximately 9-11 hours per week, on a 2-day/3-day rotation.

Responsibilities include preparing a variety of rolls, wraps, ciabattas, pasta & rice dishes, serving small breaks, lunch, and cleaning down. It is a fast-paced and busy environment.

Previous catering experience, knowledge of HACCP, and the ability to start at 8:15 am are advantageous.
