Our client is seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to join their dynamic global business in the financial technology industry. This role, based in Dublin, offers an exceptional opportunity to practice law in a fast-paced, in-house environment as part of a highly collegial international team of lawyers and legal analysts.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will report to the Group General Counsel and be responsible for:

  • advising the senior executives on all legal aspects of commercial relationships
  • drafting and negotiating software license agreements
  • providing actionable legal advice that aligns with strategic objectives and resolving contentious matters
  • applying and developing risk management best practices
  • implementing lean management principles in delivering legal services

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a global role, where the successful candidate will need to become familiar with the relevant aspects of commercial law in each of the jurisdictions where our client operates.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Qualified lawyer (solicitor, barrister or attorney) in a common law jurisdiction with at least 3 years PQE (this level of experience is intended as guidance only and does not preclude someone with more or less experience from applying for the role)
  • Proven experience within a Corporate environment or as an In-House Counsel or similar role
  • Able to speak and write fluently in English
  • Commercially savvy with strong communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to businesspeople
  • Ability to work independently and think rigorously to solve complex legal issues
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment
  • Proficiency in managing document templates and efficiently processing legal documentation
