Role Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering ecological surveys, assessments, and reporting to support planning applications, environmental impact assessments, and biodiversity management plans.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake habitat, flora, and fauna surveys including bats, birds, and aquatic species
Prepare Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA) and Natura Impact Statements (NIS)
Input into Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs)
Liaise with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders
Support senior staff in project delivery and contribute to business development

Requirements

Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years' relevant professional experience
Strong field skills and knowledge of Irish habitats and protected species
Familiarity with relevant legislation and policy (e.g., Habitats Directive, Wildlife Acts)
Experience preparing ecological reports and assessments
Full clean driving license
