Job Title: Maintenance Technician Salary: Competitive Job Type: Permanent Location:Co. Monaghan Ref: S011699 RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client have an opportunity for an experienced cross-skilled Maintenance Technician to join a successful and growing business. This is a day working position Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm. The successful Maintenance Technician will join a team of electrical and mechanical skilled technicians to ensure equipment operates to maximum efficiency and assist with installing new machinery. Requirements: Qualified Trades / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or similar 3+ years experience in a similar position and able to troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment. Must be able to read schematics, technical drawings and have good knowledge of PLCs including programming. A highly motivated, enthusiastic team player who can take instruction, communicate strongly and work to a high level of attention to detail. Fluency in the English language is required. Can be flexible when required Hold a full driving licence Key Duties & Responsibilities: Carry out electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve equipment issues minimising downtime. Includes PLC-controlled systems, handling and packaging equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic components and control systems Perform preventative and planned maintenance Accurate record keeping Collaborate with equipment suppliers for new installations, modifications, and upgrades Maintain workshop and tools in good condition and ensure spare parts are ordered on time Ensure effective use of resources and minimise waste Participate in cross-skilling training to expand technical expertise, mentor and coach apprentices and ensure the Manager is informed critical issues Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies Other duties as required If you have the relevant qualifications and experience and are interested in this position, please apply now and Ciara who is based in our Northeast office will be in contact if you are suitable.
