The Head of Application Development and Data will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the data and application development road-map. The successful candidate will have a strong background in big data architecture, extensive experience in program management, and exceptional leadership skills. This role will involve leading a talented team, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring KPIs and SLAs are consistently achieved. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Architecture: Develop and oversee the application development and data architecture strategy, ensuring it aligns with business goals and supports scalable growth. Program Management: Drive the end-to-end program management of data and development initiatives, coordinating resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery. Stakeholder Management: Act as a key liaison with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, aligning data and application development projects with broader company goals. People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of developers, data engineers, and analysts to achieve high performance and professional growth. Vendor & KPI Management: Oversee vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure vendors deliver on KPIs, SLAs, and other performance metrics critical to project success. Process Optimization: Identify and implement best practices to enhance efficiency in data management, application development, and delivery processes, leveraging both in-house and outsourced resources. Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance and security protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining data integrity across systems. Qualifications Experience: At least 8 years of experience in application development and data management, with a proven track record in big data architecture, program management, and leadership roles. Technical Skills: Extensive experience with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Azure) and modern data architecture frameworks. Familiarity with agile development practices is a plus. Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated success in leading, managing, and developing high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and aligning teams with business objectives. Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience managing expectations and aligning stakeholders at all organizational levels. Vendor Management: Proven experience managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring KPI and SLA adherence. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications are preferred but not required.
