Our client is committed to delivering excellent patient care through a multidisciplinary approach and is looking for a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to further enhance their services. You will be working in a dynamic and supportive environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and management of communication and swallowing disorders in adults and/or children, depending on the area of expertise. Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to the needs of patients in a variety of settings, including inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, and community services. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and dietitians to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Mentor and supervise junior staff and speech and language therapy students, fostering a positive learning environment. Participate in service development initiatives, audits, and research projects to improve the quality and efficiency of services. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy. Current registration with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist. Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a clinical setting Experience in managing a diverse caseload, including complex communication and swallowing disorders. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Desirable: Experience in a hospital or clinical setting. Previous experience in supervising and mentoring junior therapists or students. A postgraduate qualification or specialisation in a relevant area (e.g., dysphagia, paediatrics, neurology).
