IT Business Analyst

IT Business Analyst required our clients established company in Mayo

The Business Analyst will work across the company to research existing processes, systems and reports and suggest improvements.

You will be responsible for taking on different challenges as part of business as usual space and within the project capacity and will liaise with multiple departments and teams, and tasks will include data and process analysis, documentation development, process improvement, requirement gathering, constructing business cases and understanding business needs.

This is a flexible working role with a requirement to attend onsite in our Mayo full time for the initial onboarding period and then for all planned onsite work/emergencies/meetings as is required, days tbc.

Key tasks for this role are:

• Understanding business processes, systems used and data interactions, mapping and documenting these as the current AS-IS business processes.
• Understanding and contributing to establishing future TO-BE business processes and documenting as required.
• Elicit and build business requirements and systems specifications for required application, data interaction and reporting development changes, improvements and new systems.
• Communicate, translate, and simplify business requirements to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders.
• Work with the development teams to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and delivered against.
• Ensure business processes are aligned with current and new systems, and that users are brought along and trained accordingly.
• Developing comprehensive testing plans, recording results and leading user acceptance testing against the required business requirements and systems specifications.
• Being an active business-facing change agent for new and updated systems to monitor and maximise user adoption and success.
• To work with the IT Helpdesk and provide application support, troubleshooting and recommendations.
• To suggest, manage and maintain user guidelines and knowledge base articles relevant to changes and/or existing applications and reports.
• To follow up. acquire, manage and maintain technical documentation from development teams related to changes and/or existing applications and reports.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• 3+ years IT business analyse experience.
• Tertiary IT related qualification.
• Experience working on ERP and integrated systems.
• Experience supporting users using ERP systems.
• Experience working with complex data and data queries.
• Experience writing and testing reports.
• Fluent English with excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multi-task, prioritise and work on several projects concurrently.
• Excellent self-organisation skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Able to build and maintain relationships with technical role players and all stakeholders.

• Understanding of data quality principles
• Financial processes and reporting
• Demand planning & forecasting processes and models
• Omnichannel Retail & Distribution Warehouse applications
• SAP S/4 or ECC ERP (Retail)
• SAP PI/PO
• Microsoft PowerBI
