Senior Occupational Therapist Childrens Disability Network Team Full-Time Permament Posts This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our service to support children and their families, presenting with complex needs arising from a disability. The Occupational Therapist is a valuable member of the Childrens Disability Network Team (CDNT) who will provide a quality evidence-based service in line with Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles including family-centred practice. We currently have the following permanent Senior Occupational Therapist positions on our CDNTs: CDNT WTE CDNM Office base Ballymun Full-time Irina Jackson Ballymun Civic Centre Ballymun (Schools Pilot Project) * Full-time Irina Jackson Ballymun Civic Centre Coolock Part-time (0.5 WTE) Niamh Giltinan Coolock Primary Care Centre * Part of this role will also provide onsite support to St. Michaels House Special National School Ballymun. The successful candidate must have the following: Essential Criteria Degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy accredited to the World Federation of Occupational Therapists. Fully registered or registration in process with CORU. A minimum of 3 years post graduate clinical working experience. Two years experience in the area of paediatric disability. Excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to work in a self directed manner. Excellent ability to work with complex cases as part of a team. Committed to the delivery of quality, family-centred, community-based services Evidence of CPD in leadership/mentoring/supervision. Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) in the relevant area. Desirable Criteria Clinical experience of working with children with a variety of complex needs including ASD, Intellectual Disability and Physical Disability. Experience in supporting 24-hour postural management needs with a recognised seating/postural management course completed. Experience in the implementation of sensory integration approaches with a recognised sensory integration course completed. Previous experience related to Assessment of Need.
