Site Manager/Foreman Location: South Galway, Ireland Project: Phase 1 - Construction of 32 Standard Build Homes Reports to: Project Manager/Construction Manager Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (Duration of Phase 1) Salary: Competitive, based on experience Company Overview CSR Group is working with a leading construction firm specializing in residential projects across Connaught. They are committed to delivering high-quality homes while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager/Foreman to oversee the construction of 32 homes in South Galway, marking the first phase of a larger development project. Job Purpose The Site Manager/Foreman will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role requires excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on health and safety compliance. Key Responsibilities Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations on the construction site. Ensure the project is completed according to the approved plans, specifications, and schedules. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager. Health and Safety: Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Address and resolve any safety concerns promptly. Quality Control: Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks. Address any defects or issues promptly and effectively. Cost Management: Monitor project costs and manage site resources efficiently. Ensure all work is completed within the allocated budget. Assist in the preparation of cost reports and forecasts. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Liaise with the Project Manager and other stakeholders as required. Communication: Serve as the main point of contact on-site for subcontractors, suppliers, and staff. Facilitate effective communication between all parties involved in the project. Address and resolve any on-site issues or conflicts. Qualifications and Experience Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a site management or foreman role, preferably in residential construction. Proven track record of managing similar projects from inception to completion. Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Thorough understanding of construction processes, techniques, and health and safety regulations. Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite. Personal Attributes Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
