Job description: As OSI PI and Data Analyst Engineer you will be responsible for the deployment of the sites data analytics and visualization strategy. The role will be hands-on in the architecture, design and delivery of data transformation and visualizations, working flexibly with a varied workload in an environment which is vibrant and agile. The successful candidate will promote the use of data analytics tools onsite and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, playing a key role identifying where, when how and why the business uses data, and transform it into information that serves each function at the site. In this role you will be reporting to the AIS Lead. Your Responsibilities In this role, you will Deploy, administer, and maintain analytics and data visualizations applications\tools. Engage with key stakeholders and business users to define business requirements and translate them into insightful dashboards that drive positive change. Lead development of the site data analytics strategy working closely with department leads and teams getting their input to develop business needs. Translates these business needs into a data analytics strategy and works with key stakeholders to deliver Data Analytics initiatives. Investigate and provide technical advice and support to users on issues concerning site analytics tools or data repositories. Proactively manage planned and ad hoc analytics requests, ensuring consistent quality and timeliness in delivery to business stakeholders. Act as a back-up to the site Data Historian System Owner, supporting administration of site Data Historian (OSI PI) Support the evolution and continuous improvement of work processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality, employing LEAN practices as appropriate. Perform all tasks with due care and attention and in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and WuXi requirements, policies, and procedures. Be a champion for safe working practices and safety initiatives within their functional area and beyond. Travel at various times is anticipated to support AIS and Operations network alignment, knowledge share and projects. Perform all duties in accordance with GMP requirements, SOPs, and controlled documents. Will be flexible to take on additional tasks and responsibilities at the discretion of the AIS Team Lead Will act as a role model for the Engineering function and the wider organisation in adherence to the WuXi corporate core values and PROUD culture. Your Profile The ideal candidate for this position, will have the following: Education Bachelors degree in computer science, Statics, Biotech Engineering, or related Computer Science engineering Knowledge/Experience minimum 3-5 years experience in using visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Spotfire. Strong analytical skills with statistical modelling data analysis competency Strong knowledge of data querying, data mining, data segmentation and strong quantitative analysis skills Demonstrated ability extracting and cleaning data from systems such as OSI PI Ability to gather and analyze data to solve complex problems and evaluate scenarios to make predictions on future outcomes to support decision making. Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment in a Biologics facility (equipment maintenance mindset) with SIMCA or similar application experience an advantage. Strong skills in MS Excel (management of large datasets, formulas, etc.) Ability to self-motivate and operate independently, identifying opportunities and solutions to leverage and grow analytics capability. Personal skills Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Able to think critically and demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Self-starter and self-motivated; organized with good attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to adjust workloads based on changing priorities.
