Role Overview: As the Social Care Team Lead, you will play a key role in managing and guiding a team of dedicated care professionals to deliver exceptional support to residents. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the residential service, ensuring that care is provided in line with best practices, and fostering a person-centered approach. Your leadership will be essential in driving the team's performance, ensuring compliance with care standards, and maintaining a supportive, positive environment for both staff and residents. Key Responsibilities: Lead, supervise, and support the social care team to deliver high-quality care to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Ensure a person-centered approach to care, tailoring support plans to meet the unique needs and preferences of each resident. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential service, including staff scheduling, resource management, and service delivery. Provide training, mentoring, and ongoing professional development for staff to ensure high standards of care. Promote independence, dignity, and respect for residents while ensuring their safety and well-being. Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care. Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including health and safety, safeguarding, and quality assurance. Handle any escalated issues or concerns regarding care provision, addressing them promptly and effectively. Qualifications and Experience: A qualification in social care, health and social care, or a related field (e.g., Level 7 in Social Care or equivalent). Minimum of 3 years experience workingin the health/social care or voluntary sector At least 2 years management experience at a similar level of responsibility Detailed understanding of developments at national and sectoral level in relation to quality and safety within disability services. Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive & Teams. A full drivers licence is an essential requirement What's in it for you?
