We are currently partnering with a leading medical device multi-national client who are looking to hire an experiencedProduction Unit Manageras they expand their operations. This is a diverse and challenging role. TheProduction Managerplays a pivotal role in the business operations, working alongsideProduction Supervisorsand their teams to meet KPI's and outputs and provide overall leadership to the wider organisation. Responsibilities: Works to put in place a strategic plan for the Production Unit. Leverages Lean initiatives as programs and procedures are implemented within the Operational areas / Value Stream to improve safety, quality and customer indicators, reduce waste, improve processes and labour efficiencies, and reduce direct operating expenses. Determines appropriate staff levels, schedules and resources.Establishes cross-functional team relationships.Works cross-functionally in identifying and resolving technical issues. Establishes clear accountabilities for direct reports and staffs to motivate and develop through understanding, personal development and lifelong learning. Develops, manages and monitors department budgets. Fosters and recognises continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Nurtures a risk-taking environment and encourages employees to reach for new milestones Ensures department adherence to regulatory and GMP requirements. Drives functional excellence initiatives, delivers high quality functional deliverables. Possess a broad in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems and has demonstrated the ability to specify appropriately. Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Manufacturing/Engineering field. Masters preferred. Minimum Experience: 8/10+ years in an operations environment. Experience in the medical device industry. Previous experience working in a role such as Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager or Production Supervisor.
