Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) Donabate Childrens Respite St. Michael's House is a community based organisation committed to providing a quality person centred service and high standard of living to people with an intellectual disability in the greater Dublin area. St. Michaels House is committed to providing individualised supports to people so that they can enjoy experiences, opportunities and lifestyles similar to their peers. A vacancy exists for full-time permanent Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) role in Donabate Childrens respite services. Donabate respite is a community respite house providing support to 40 children. No more than six children at a time are supported during their breaks to engage in community based activities. Staff provide for a variety of nursing, social and emotional support needs. Applications are invited for the post of CNM2 supporting children with an intellectual disability in our Childrens Respite Service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone whos passionate about children and interested in providing opportunities for children with a disability to develop their full potential in a compassionate and child centred environment. Sometimes families need a break and sometimes children need a chance to play with their friends. This is a hugely rewarding role for someone interested in working in a dynamic service. Applications are invited for this position from suitably qualified candidates. This role requires a strong ability to lead a team and to problem solve and work on own initiative. Essential Criteria: Have a RNID qualification and be presently registered and approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Other Nursing disciplines with a minimum of 5 years experience in the area of intellectual disability may apply. Have experience in the area of intellectual disability, complex health needs, autism and positive behaviour support. Recognised accredited management qualification. Have a minimum of 3 years experience in management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care with responsibility for managing budgets and resources. Have experience in the area of staff support and development, taking the lead in teams, resource management and administration duties. Be knowledgeable of Health Act 2007 and have experience and understanding of HIQA Regulations (2013). A detailed working knowledge of Childrens First and Safeguarding Policy and Procedures. Possess a strong commitment to the provision of a quality individualised child and family centred service. Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Progressing Disability Services(PDS) and of the key working model. Possess experience in key-working and have knowledge of the quality system. Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
