Vickerstock are working with a leading building materials organisation to assist them with the recruitment for a new Environmental Officer. Our client have a presence in over 75 countries with more than 160 000 employees.

The purpose of this position is to the environmental requirements at local level with regional guidance and consulting/admin support provided to business units within the operational area. A very strong emphasis on customer service, agility and responsiveness to the businesses needs across all our clients sites.

As the Environmental Officer, your main tasks and responsibilities will be

• Conducting environmental monitoring and ensuring environmental management and compliance with Saint-Gobain Regional Management requirements

• Liaise / Support the local business with regulatory authorities (EPA, local Councils and community)

• Communicating advice on environmental matters and upcoming EU and National Legislation to local business unit.

• Co-ordinating and supporting the management of activities of consultants in relation to environmental tasks.

• Providing regional EHS with statistics, analysis on site performance

• Administration of regulatory systems e.g. EDEN

• Experience and understanding of ISO 14001.

• Experience using Integrated Management System (IMS)

Ideally, you will have the follow;

• Environmental Qualification

• Strong ICT skills (particularly Microsoft Office)

• Potential Graduate role
