The School of Natural Sciences are seeking to appoint a temporary Executive Officer, the specific purpose of backfilling this Executive Officer vacancy on a temporary basis pending the return of the postholder from authorised leave. Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as the original postholder is expected to return. This temporary Executive Officer post is within the Undergraduate Team. Current programmes include TR060, TR062, TR064 and Joint Honours. This role will be responsible for delivery of a range of administrative supports within a designated programme portfolio. At present, support for two programme portfolios is being sought, namely, TR060 and Geography Joint Honours. Duties will include, but are not limited to; supporting Heads of Discipline, Programme Directors and academic staff with student registrations, timetabling, module and blackboard enrolment, examinations, graduations, outreach engagements, ordering and ongoing high-level support for all students and staff. The Executive Officer will be capable of working on their own initiative, while also contributing into the wider School administrative team. Post Status: Specific Purpose Specific purpose of filling an Executive Officer vacancy on a temporary basis pending the return of the postholder from authorised leave. Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as the original postholder is expected to return. Hours of Post: 35 hours per week Salary: Appointment will be made on the Executive Officer Salary Scale €32,191 - €50,199 per annum and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
