Role: Health & Safety Officer Location: North Dublin Salary: €60,000 - €65,000 Duration: Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 17:00 (occasional early mornings or late evenings as required) Health & Safety Officer Leading organisation in North Dublin requires a Health & Safety Officer to join their warehouse and logistics operations team. This role ensures compliance with health and safety legislation while fostering a safe working environment in a busy warehouse setting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing health and safety within a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment. Working Monday to Friday, 08:30 17:00, with occasional early morning or late evening shifts as required on occasion, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to warehouse staff. Key Responsibilities: Conduct risk assessments and safety audits within a warehouse environment. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and industry best practices. Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures. Train warehouse and logistics staff on best safety practices, manual handling, and PPE use. Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with warehouse managers and supervisors to improve safety standards. Monitor the storage, handling, and transportation of goods to ensure safety compliance. Prepare reports on health and safety performance and incident trends. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and risk assessments. Assist in preparing for regulatory inspections and audits. Requirements: Relevant qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline. Experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation. Experience conducting risk assessments and safety audits in warehouse settings. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including manual handling and forklift safety. Excellent communication skills for training and advising staff.
