Location: Springfield Tallaght Dublin 24 Reporting to: Service Manager Hourly Rate: €15 Terms: Permanent Part-time (15 Hours per week) Over 7 Days, Morning, Afternoons and Evenings Job Purpose: To upkeep and care for both the building and the grounds ensuring general areas are kept clean and the indoor & outdoor areas are maintained to the highest standards. Core duties and responsibilities: Maintenance and upkeep of apartments and staff offices. To carry out maintenance duties e.g. painting, minor repairs etc. Candidates are required to have the ability to multi-task and possess the physical capability to engage in manual labour. Maintenance of units when a service user moves on. Understand safe working practices and health and safety legislation. To be flexible, organised and efficient. Other relevant duties as directed by Management. To ensure confidentiality will be maintained at all times. Person specification: Good understanding of building trades including, carpentry, plumbing, electric, roofing etc. sufficient to discuss individual projects with sub-contractors and ensure quality work by inspection. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous. The ability to communicate effectively with service usersand other Respond staff. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Full driving licence and access to own transport desirable. Garda Vetting will be required on an ongoing basis.
