Role: IT Administrator Location of post: Portlaoise (Ad-hoc travel to sites in, Wales, Republic of Ireland & England) Background: In July 2023, Leprino Foods acquired 100% of operations in the UK & EU. With an already existing portfolio of projects, we have recently completed a major project where we renewed/replaced the entire Network/Technology stack on UK and Republic or Ireland sites to bring them in-line with our international Leprino family. This role will provide IT Support primarily for INSERT SITE but will include some remote support of other UK/EU sites to meet business and Production needs. Leprino Foods are committed to investment at all levels, with multi-millions being invested in INSERT SITE plant production and infrastructure year on year. Role Purpose: Working as part of a decentralised team, youll be self-driven and proactive in this role as you contribute to the delivery of day-to-day IT Support, assist with projects and upgrades along with continual service improvements for our factory/production systems and office environment. You should be familiar with hypervisors & virtualisation, Networking & the Windows Server and Client ecosystems as well as proficient in user productivity software (O365). Reporting into the IT Service Delivery Manager you should be comfortable with weekly reporting and remote collaboration. Accountable to: IT Service Delivery Manager, Allan Tomlinson Direct Reports: No Direct Reports Responsibilities & Measures of Success: Relationship Development Effectively work with project stakeholders and senior management Provide guidance and influence positive behaviours of the IT Site Support staff. Establish an effective working relationship with our symbiont IT Services Provider, GBS & CapGemini as well as Leprino Colleagues based in the US. Maintain strong lines of communication with departmental management, comfortable with weekly reporting & collaboration with others at different locations. Develop a culture of ownership through the transition of new technology into BAU at the Sites Operational Excellence Responsibilities: Primary Underpin and contribute to L1 & L2 support functions and associated administrative processes including BAU KPIs, Drive effective use of the ServiceDesk and work on behalf of our users to ensure issues & requests are handled in a timely manner. Assist in the standardisation of Processes and Administration across the sites IT functions. Participate effectively in project teams at a site level where IT resource is required Contribute to the Maintenance of Documentation - SOP's, BCP, DR Ensure that Security practices & standards are maintained and adhered to, include those surrounding Data & Physical/Perimeter solutions. Provide Systems & Application Support, through the maintenance of Knowledgebase material (OneNote), relevant vendor or external training and upgrades. Identify where Systems & Processes can be automated and propose solutions to improve or remove low value activities. Assist in the development of the IT Strategy and its delivery. Provide support for internal users that cannot be resolved by the Service Desk. Setup and support of IT equipment such as printers, scanners, phones & other peripherals. Maintain & troubleshoot Windows desktops, Windows HMIs, laptops & Mobile Phones. Liaise with vendors for IT hardware purchasing & support. Administer on-prem Clients and servers running VMware Virtualization. Collaborate with offsite Engineers to Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults in a logical and strategic manner Carry out IT (Office Environment) & OT (Factory Environment) infrastructure maintenance Support of wireless networks across the site. Support of a production label printers Participation in Fiscal administration, including the development of Capex/Opex budgets and project-based commercials. Ensure awareness of Risk Management processes are embedded in BAU activities Support local sites as part of an escalation process or period of complex change. MEASURABLE OUTPUTS During an initial 6 month probation period the candidate will undergo a familiarisation process to learn and understand all of the Systems relating to IT. Understanding will be measured by the generation of a report and presentation detailing design and process changes that will positively impact performance, productivity and financial factors. To be delivered to Direct and Senior Management. Create and maintain a schedule of work in order to assist in resource planning and reporting. Maintain and develop personal and technical skills appropriate to the systems being support and future technologies to be deployed. Create Technical Training and deliver to internal IT members to assist in the supporting of the IT Systems. Team No Direct Reports but will work closely with all Site IT Support members Contribute positively and proactively to the development of the team communication processes. Support and provide help and advice to team members when appropriate Support the IT Manager with team initiatives Responsible Care Drive and support a positive Health and Safety culture within the business where H&S is given equal priority with all other activities Maintain focus on workplace safety, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (PSOPs) Ensure that the circumstances of any accidents or incidents or near misses are recorded in detail, reported via specified methods and that any supporting documentation is completed promptly Immediately escalate any accidents to the site manager and the H&S manager. Promote the culture of Stop, Think, Act . Observe, act on and immediately report any issues that may pose a threat to a safe working environment Promote the submission of Safety Improvement recommendation (SIR)s Ensure all Personal Protective clothing and equipment is worn in accordance with company policy. Ensure understanding and awareness of site H&S standards, and ensure processes & maintenance activities operate in accordance with the requirements of ISO45001 Ensure familiarity and understanding of the site Environmental Targets and objectives and how the department can influence these in a positive manner. Undertake any other duties as considered by the company to be within the scope of the role. Physical No health issues likely to preclude employment in the dairy industry Qualifications and Training Relevant IT based qualification or a minimum of 1 years experience in a related technical field. ITIL v4 Foundation Relevant Experience Demonstratable experience within technical systems support, typically 3 years but minimum of 1yr should be within FMCG/Food Manufacturing or experience in a related technical/ Systems administration field is to be expected, Specialist Knowledge Good working knowledge of historical and current Microsoft Operating Systems (Server and Client) Active Directory Maintenance Good working knowledge of major networking components, network operating systems and Server /Infrastructure hardware components Experience with architectural/technologies such as Client deployment/Imaging technology, Server / storage hardware, VMWare or alternative Hypervisor, LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP Experience in support role/servicedesk, ideally within an internal client focused organisation. Hands on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification maintenance and repair of IT hardware and software Device Provisioning Technologies ERP Systems (SAP) & EDI Concepts Backup & DR Solutions Enterprise Storage MCP Certifications CCNA or equivalent professional training and/or certification Networking skills within a virtualised infrastructurelvier deliver a secure and efficent Experience in WAN and MPLS technologies including QoS, CoS, Jitter, latency.
