Position Summary An excellent opportunity has arisen at Zoetis Tullamore for the role of Site Lead Environmental Health and Safety. The EHS Lead sits on the site leadership team and reports to the overall Site Lead. The EHS Lead is responsible for establishing EHS performance objectives and driving continuous improvements across the Zetis Tullamore Campus. They lead a team of EHS professionals to ensure the ongoing maintenance and development of the EHS management systems. Position Responsibilities Key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Active participant on the Site Leadership Team. Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety Regulations as required. Implementation of strategic global EHS programs by partnering and collaborating with respective departments. Provide hands-on support and effective communications to their SLT peers (heads of department) to ensure adoption of EHS programs. Lead periodic process confirmation exercise with their team and department leads as required Lead a team EHS professionals to drive EHS performance, monitor and report progress. Maintain EHS compliance, manage EHS risk and drive a pro-active and positive culture. Develop obtainable, measurable, and sustainable KPIs and EHS goals to drive continuous EHS improvement. Perform EHS review of third-party suppliers and as appropriate oversees EHS improvements in accordance with risk management guidelines. Review and endorse capital projects from EHS point of view and perform EHS reviews for key business decisions (e.g., sourcing, change requests, capital projects). Own and manage the operating EHS budget Contribute to the site Business Continuity Program Program owner for emergency first response and crisis management function Organizational Relationships Directly reports to the Site lead with a dotted line to the Global Platform EHS lead Leads a 4 person EHS team Strong working relationship with all employees across all departments. Provide additional assistance to department in other areas where required and undertake all other reasonable requests. All employees are expected to model Zoetis Core Beliefs. Each team member can influence and bring knowledge to their work and teams during their day-to-day interactions. Resource's Managed Leads a 4 person EHS team Financial Accountability EHS Budget owner Education and Experience Qualifications: Minimum education of bachelor's degree in science, Engineering, Health and Safety or other relevant discipline. 10 years of relevant professional experience in EHS. Advanced degree in EHS or risk management desirable. Knowledge of life Sciences/animal health business operations preferred. Manufacturing site EHS management experience required, with track record of strong EHS performance. Experience across breadth of risk management functions including environmental, occupational health and safety, biosafety, industrial hygiene, loss prevention and process safety is preferred. Matrix reporting experience required. Site EHS leaders report direct line to their respective Site Leaders and have a dotted line to their platform EHS leaders Technical Skills Requirements Proven leader in EHS with sustained performance record - technical expert in principles, methodologies, and in the successful implementation of EHS culture. Good working knowledge of EHS regulations. Subject matter expertise in Irish Environmental and Safety Regulations Proven ability to develop and implement successful compliance programs in large and/or complex organizations. Demonstrated agility and ability to work successfully across a complex organization. Demonstrated track record in influencing leaders and EHS professionals (and others not in direct line) to achieve results/ continuous performance improvement. Strong oral and written communication and organizational development skills. Works effectively with others in the organization outside the line of formal authority (such as peers in other units or senior management, shared service models) to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems. Proficiency in English, written and oral, required. Physical Position Requirements Role is based at the Tullamore Site, Ireland. Role will be a creative one, focused on development of systems and not just maintaining an existing system.
