Job Description:

As a Director of Software Engineering, you have the privilege to lead and develop a team of software engineers working on some of Fidelity’s most exciting programs in the Enterprise Cybersecurity domain. This role is specifically aligned to our Identity and Access Management product area, where your engineers will work on implementing solutions for our internal partners across the entire Fidelity organization. You will blend engineering knowledge and experience with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing associates who deliver scalable and high performing solutions with a cloud-first mindset. You are dedicated to driving talent growth and ensuring alignment on the “how”. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge.

The Skills You Bring

  • Strong engineering background with a proven track record of delivering to cloud at scale
  • Proven knowledge and experience of engineering principles, patterns and practices and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD practices and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the developer lifecycle related to cloud.
  • Experience with modern agile engineering approaches and focus on operational excellence.
  • Data-driven approach to decision making, in day-to-day leadership and strategic trade-off analyses
  • Committed people leader capable of developing others within your knowledge area to accelerate and achieve increased skill proficiency.

The Team

The Enterprise Technology Software Engineering Domain is newly formed and working in partnership with leaders in ECS to deliver high quality Enterprise solutions. In this role you will build, and lead teams focused on delivering Cyber Security solutions. You will partner with the leaders in the Enterprise Cyber Security and Software Engineering domains to deliver high quality engineering solutions in support of our enterprise security goals.
