We are looking for a Preclinical EEG Scientist

The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge projects on psychedelic research and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders.

Ulysses Neuroscience Limited is an Irish Private R&D Organisation providing clinical and preclinical research services to pharmaceutical companies to accelerate their drug discovery programmes in neuropsychiatric, neurodegenerative and rare neurological disorders. Our mission is to advance knowledge and treatment of brain disorders by using translational neuroscience to bridge significance of preclinical and clinical research while keeping patients’ involvement and interests at the forefront.

This is a full-time on-site role in Dublin for a Preclinical EEG scientist. The Preclinical EEG scientist will be responsible for designing and implementing preclinical studies to evaluate drugs for the treatment of neurological disorders. The Preclinical EEG Scientist will work with a team of researchers to conduct studies involving the acquisition, processing, and interpretation of electroencephalographic and other biological signals, and will be involved in designing experiments, analysing and interpreting data, and presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in EEG research including surgery, data acquisition, analysis and interpretation.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Preclinical EEG research
  • Strong proficiency in EEG, signal processing and analysis, data management, and statistical analysis
  • Experience in electrophysiology and surgeries in rodents is mandatory
  • The ability to independently design, execute, and critically interpret EEG experiments is essential
  • Prior experience in managing preclinical studies, technical teams and CROs (Contract Research Organizations) is preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present scientific data internally and externally in a clear and concise manner
