A strong cyber security ecosystem underpins the day-to-day operations of our Bank and enables these growth ambitions. Accordingly, PTSB is seeking a Blue Team Analyst to join our Blue team within our Cyber Defence Centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for investigating potential security incidents, conducting forensic investigations and malware analysis, as well as maintaining incident playbooks and other documentation to help assist with incident response efforts. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of current security threats and the ability to stay informed of emerging threats within the financial industry. Responsibilities: Respond to alerts from security tools, with intelligence driven investigative analysis. Provide first response support by analysing alerts and gathering information about potential incidents or vulnerabilities stemming from various security tooling including but not limited to SIEM and NDR. Perform tier three analysis conducting host forensics, network forensics, log analysis and malware analysis to determine the scope and impact of security incidents. Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and other documentation relative to incident response. Work closely with the Red-team and CTI team along with wider IT teams to maintain a strong defensive posture for PTSB through strengthening existing defence controls and the implementation of new defence controls. Requirements: 3-5 years? experience in incident response, security operations, SOC or a related field. Experience with deploying, maintaining or leveraging the following security solutions: SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, EDR, Firewalls, Web proxy, Email Gateway, NDR. Experience in NDR (Vectra AI), EDR (Microsoft Defender) and SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel) Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience in managing third party vendors. Good understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and application of such to defence controls. Experience with incident response within both an on premise and cloud environment. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within an organisation. Experience working within a Windows and Linux environment. This is a Permanent position based in PTSB's Dublin or Cork office. (Hybrid option available within the Republic of Ireland) Is this you?
